Hair Bows for Humanity

I had a group of young women from my church over this evening to work on a service project. The Humanitarian Center near us said that they were in desperate need of hair accessories for little girls. So we decided to make a bunch. After two hours, this is what we accomplished:

It doesn't look like much, but that's because it took forever sealing all of the ribbon ends with a flame so they wouldn't fray. But it was a really fun project and all of the girls had fun. We still have tons of ribbon left though, so I think I will be busy making hair bows for awhile.
Here are a few of my favorites:
This cute little bow clip was really simple, I found the instructions here.

This is a fun ribbon pony holder:
I loved this little rosebud clip, but it was a little more challenging, so we didn't have the girls make them. I might need to make a few more on my own. I modified the instructions I found here to come up with this one.I must say that I adore my four boys, but projects like this sooo make me want a little girl. We are trying to adopt, and sometimes the waiting is really hard!
