Taco Soup

We had a few snow flurries yesterday–fall has officially arrived! At our house, fall means muddy floors spicy scented candles, yummy baked goods, and lots and lots of soup.
This taco soup is so popular in my area that I assume everyone already has the recipe. But there might be a few of you out there that have never tried it, so I am posting it for you. If you haven't ever made it, you really should. It is super fast and oh so good. I don't think I've ever met anyone that doesn't like it.

Taco Soup

1# ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 pkg taco seasoning
4 15oz cans diced tomatoes
1 8oz can tomato sauce
2 cans kidney beans
1 can corn (or 1 cup frozen corn)
Tortilla chips
Grated cheddar cheese
Sour cream (optional)
Brown hamburger with onion; drain. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for at least 20 minutes. Serve with chips and cheese. (And sour cream if you feel like it)
Notes:
-I have four really hungry boys, so I usually add extra tomatoes, beans, and corn so we can have leftovers the next day.

  1. Would it be ok if I used your tacosoup picture if I linked to your blog in the post? I am writing a post about how I lost weight and I used this recipe often and want to include it in my favorites.
