Bulletin Board Turned Chalkboard

I know I haven't posted for awhile, but it is because I have been busily working on my laundry room makeover. Paint walls-done. Paint cabinets-done. Hang curtains-done. Topiary-done. Twenty other decorating accesories-totally not done. AAAAAA! I hope I make it in time!

I finally did fine me some Heirloom White spray paint. Woohoo! I have been spray paining like mad and I have major hand cramping going on. I am not kidding. Half of my garage is full of overturned boxes covered with projects that are drying. I have already called my hubbie and told him that he can't park in the garage tonight. :)

I did actually get one project done today. Well sort of. Remember this bulletin board?
Now it looks like this:

I took out the cork board, and it was in perfect condition, so I'm thinking I'll save it for another project. I had some leftover sheet metal that I used for a previous project. I used a really old pair of kitchen shears and cut it down to size. Then I sprayed it with two coats of chalkboard paint. Did you know they make spray paint chalkboard paint. Is that awesome or what!?!

Before you use it, you are supposed to rub the entire surface with white chalk. Guess who is out of white chalk? Yep, can't find a single piece anywhere in the house. So although my bulletin board looks real purdy, it's not totally functional yet. But it will be. Soon.

Can't wait to show you all the other fun things I've been working on!
