We had a very productive weekend at my house. My hubbie and son got home from scout camp on Thursday night, and he took Friday off. After three failed attempts, we were finally able to find a lighting fixture for our bathroom. Hallelujah! We also hung the medicine cabinet and ordered the new toilet. Hopefully before the week is over our bathroom will be totally functioning. But I'm not crossing my fingers, because I think that every week and then some new funky problem arises.
I have had major stress trying to find a towel rack that would fit on the wall. I finally came up with a solution. It is totally unconventional, but I am really liking the way it is turning out. When it is all finished, I will share it with you!
One of our neighbors had a garage sale Saturday, and I picked up a few things. I paid $6 for everything.
Another Scrabble game like this one:
A few old books that I will use for decorating:Plus a game and a car that my 5 year old picked out.
I also picked up another item, but I'm not showing it to you. Not yet. It is part of the towel solution in my bathroom. And I want to keep it a surprise, so you'll just have to wait.
Here are a couple of items I picked up earlier from the thrift store.
These two frames. One was $2, the other was $1.50. They are nice and chunky, just like I like them.
This little table was $15. I am planning on using it as a side table in my bedroom. It will go next to the chair I need to re-upholster. I have a lamp for it that also needs a makeover. I sure have my work cut out for me!
