My boys are out of school for fall break, so we are headed up to my parents house for a couple of days. I am really looking forward to it, it has been awhile since we've been. And the weather is gorgeous, so I know we will have lots of fun. Before I go, here is another Halloween idea for you.
This is a recipe that I discovered last year. I threw it together at the last minute for a Halloween get-together. Kids love it! Especially my kids because I never buy Kool-Aid. Or pop for that matter. But hey, at Halloween, all rules of good nutrition just fly right out the window.
This is a really fun punch that is also cheap and easy. The two colors together turn a nasty black color, so it makes for a fun presentation. I think it would be great with some gummy worms floating in it, so I'm going to try that this year. That, and the dry ice. Super creepy!
Swamp Punch
1 packet grape Kool-Aid
1 packet orange Kool-Aid
2 cups sugar
3 quarts water
Ice cubes or dry ice (I used ice cubes in the shape of skulls)
2 liters 7-Up or Sprite
Mix Kool-Aid and sugar together. Add water and stir till dissolved. Add ice, then 7-Up.
Notes:
-You could also serve this in a cauldron and call it Witches Brew.
