Did you all have a great weekend? I sure did. It was General Conference for my church, so I got to spend a lot of time listening to speakers and being uplifted. It is broadcast on television, so you can watch in your jammies if you want to. It only happens twice a year, and I love it. It always makes me so grateful for my blessings, and inspires me to be a better person. ![]()
It was a cool and rainy weekend, so I spent the whole time inside. I did a lot of yummy baking, made a bunch of hair bows for my etsy shop. (I am so close to stocking it, and when I do I will be doing a giveaway, so watch for it!) I also did a bit of fall decorating. Friday I went shopping and picked up some pumpkins at the craft store for 50% off. Yay!
I'm still working on several of my projects, but I did finish one. It started with this candlestick that I bought at DI for $1.50.
The finish was nasty, but I loved all the details, so I snagged it up. I gave it a good scrubbing, then waited for it to dry. Then I spray painted it with a few coats of black (what else?). Now it is sitting on my entry table with a $5 pumpkin from Walmart on top. I think it is much happier now!
On another bloggy note, I have been thinking of doing a Mr. Linky party. I love participating in them, but I have never hosted one. I thought it would be fun to share our fall decorating projects. But I'm a little nervous that no one would join me and I'd look like a big fat loser. If I do one, would any of you join in the fun?
