Seeing as how there is a certain football game coming up next Sunday, I thought it would be a good week to share some snack recipes. I’ve got several recipes that I made for New Year’s Eve that I have been saving up just for this very reason. I know, I planned ahead. I’m just as shocked as you are. 😉
I was intrigued by the combination of flavors in this dip, so I decided to give it a try. It was enjoyed by everyone at our party. The flavor really does improve over time, so make sure you make it early in the day. The day before would actually be better. Then the garlic and bacon have time to flavor everything. I served it with crackers and tortilla chips, but some people were dipping veggies in it. I tried that, and it was yummy too. So go ahead and serve it with whatever you want. 🙂
Corn and Bacon Dip
8 oz cream cheese
1 cup sour cream (I used light)
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp hot pepper sauce
10 bacon slices, cooked till crisp and crumbled
1 15oz can corn, drained
Beat first 5 ingredients till smooth. Stir in bacon and corn. Cover and chill for several hours. Serve with tortilla chips, crackers, or veggies.
-Make sure your bacon is nice and crispy. No one likes biting into a rubbery piece of bacon.
