Master Bathroom Makeover- Finally!

I didn't take many before pictures of our master bathroom makeover, because when we started we thought we would just be replacing the shower. Then we realized that we had mold damage. Lots of it. It was horrible and disgusting. I will not show you those photos.  You're welcome.

I only had one photo of the shower, but you can get a general idea:

Boring oak cabinets, white walls, totally outdated ivy stencil, no curtains, ugly vanity lights. BLECK!
We ended up having to replace the sub flooring, which meant new tile. One thing led to another, and before you know it we had replaced the countertop, sink, toilet, light fixture, and plumbing hardware. I painted the walls and cabinets. It was a long process getting everything done, but I LOVE it now!!

Here are some of the after photos. Have you ever tried to take decent pictures of a long narrow room with a window in it? It isn't easy. Just sayin.

Here is a shot taken from the door. We love the new countertop and shower. So much easier to clean than the tile was. I was a little nervous about painting the cabinets so dark, but I love them now. I used a chocolate brown color that I had custom blended at Home Depot. You can't see the decorations in the window, but in the corner is my hurricane lamp.

A little closer to the shower. The entire shelf arrangement was made from thrift store items or stuff I already had. Around that corner is the, um, potty.

This is the tiny wall next to our closet door. I love my little framed fabric flowers, and my non conventional towel rack.

Here is a shot looking back toward the door.Yep, I even painted my medicine cabinet.

Here are the thrift store plates that hang on the left side of the closet door:

And last but not least, I added a little vinyl lettering above the closet door. It looks crooked, but that's only because I had to lift the camera above my head to get a shot. ;)

  1. That looks marvelous! I love the fleur-di-lis.

Where do you get the vinyls? You may have said…I might have missed it…

    Blessings to you,
lana (I'm in the middle of the largest remodel of our lives right now…if you want to hop over and see mine.) Yours encouraged me!

  2. Awesome job…it all looks great!!! Just wondering about your shower stall…did you replace it or did you paint the trim that dark color???
