Look What I Made! Day 8-25-10

From here on out, I'm only going to feature projects that have an actual link back to me within the post. Having my button at the side of your blog counts too. I figure if you take the extra time to add my button, or even just a link, I'll take the extra time to feature your project. With an actual link to it. Not just a "check out all my favorite projects by clicking over here". Cuz we all know most people aren't going to take the time to do that. ;) It's all about sharing the love.

So, here are a few of my favorite projects from readers that shared some love with me. Thanks guys! Enjoy your day in the spotlight. :)

Mod Podge is pretty awesome. But did you know you could use it to create a stained glass look? Jessica over at Living Life on Purpose took a plain glass dish and turned it into a pretty candle holder. A blue one. How cool is that!
Check out the quilt that Tonya at Foxtale Follies made using bandannas. Perfect for a little cowgirl or cowboy! She used them to make the curtains too. Now that's a clever idea. Yeehaw!
I love seeing how much a little paint can totally transform a piece of furniture. Kelly over at My Dear Trash updated her pie safe. Love how it turned out!!
Have you seen the washer necklaces that are all over blogland? Well now you can make a pair of earrings to match. Christine over at Sweet Girl Designs came up with these. Love how she added the turquoise beads at the bottom. So pretty!

If you've been featured, feel free to grab the button over at the right. :)

Alrighty, everybody get linkin'! Feel free to link up a craft project, decorating idea, or a yummy recipe. Please don't just link up a giveaway or random post, this is a place to show off something you've made.

Here are the McLinky guidelines:
1-Add a link to your specific post, not the main page of your blog. To do this you click on the title of your post, then copy and paste that URL rather than the one that comes up when you open your blog. Make sense?
2-Add a short description of your project after your name. Ex: Kara (table makeover)
3-Link back to this party from your post. It's the nice thing to do.

4-Visit some of the other links and make sure to leave nice comments. You know we all love them. :)

  5. Hi Kara!

I just had my blog redesigned and my designer listed all of the linky parties I link up with weekly in a neat and organized tab at the top of my page name "Linky Parties". My blog has been this way for about a week and I have been putting at the end of my posts to check out and link up to the fun linky parties that I join and I direct my readers to my "Linky Party" tab. Im just wondering if this is offensive to blog party hosts. I honestly do not mean any harm by this at all. It seemed to be a very function, organized way of doing things, and Ive seen in done on many blogs.

I am rather "new" to blogworld, and I really enjoy the linky parties and the friends I make because of them. I do not mean harm at all and always link back. I am just curious if I am "pissing off" (for lack of better words) the blog party hosts.

    Thanks!
    Kara

    • I have a Linky Party page too. It's a nice way to keep things organized. But when I actually link to a party on another blog, I always put their button on my post. I just think it's the nice thing to do.
I think Kim at TCB does a great job describing explaining how most linky hostesses probably feel. I couldn't have said it better myself. :)
