Etsy Goals for the New Year

Don't forget to enter to win the $25 gift certificate giveaway to Pink Bling and Things!

One of my goals for this year is to do a better job with my Etsy store.
Self promotion is very hard for me. Uggg.
I love sharing my home decor ideas, my craft projects, and my recipes. I love giving.
But when it come to advertising, I cringe.
I don't want to bother people. Heaven forbid I should come across as a spammer.

But I have realized that to have a successful online store, one has to actually spread the word about it. I know, imagine that!
So every Saturday (0r at least the Saturday's I remember), I will be showcasing the products I have listed the past week. I would love your honest feedback about them, whether good or bad.
I figured that if I do all my shameless self promotion on one day, those of you who don't want to know about it can just look away every Saturday. ;)

For the rest of you, thank you!! Feel free to buy something if you totally love it and can't live without it. :)

  1. Yeah! I'm glad you are going to promote yourself!!!! You have such cute things!

  2. Kara, I totally understand this post!! I just opened up an Etsy shop, and I'm trying to figure out how to get some sales without talking about it :) Haha, sounds so silly, but it's the truth!! Your stuff is super cute in your shop, and I will definitely help spread the word on my blog when I get my stuff in the mail :)

  3. I am the same way! I feel like I am bothering people, or that they're going "oh please, no one wants that"–I'm my own worst critic! And craft shows? Oh man. My hubby is darling and he's so talkative and great telling people about my things and I just end up sitting there like I'm mute hehehe :) I think it's a great idea to feature your work regularly though!

  4. Kara, you shouldn't feel bad – your stuff is great and you are so talented!! As a blog reader, it doesn't bother me at all when people promote their stuff, and it's also helpful to know when I can just buy something instead of trying (and sometimes failing :) to duplicate it. Promote away!!
