This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
I mentioned back in December that I attended a Pier 1 bloggers event. While I was there I met Crystal and Veronique from IZEA, the company that hosted the event. I asked them lots of questions about SocialSpark the branch of their company that matches bloggers with advertisers. I love it when companies are supportive of bloggers, so I think Izea is awesome!!
I've been asked to give some feedback about how I think the Tweetup went.
Here is what I liked:
-I loved meeting up with the bloggers that hosted the event. All of them have craft/decor blogs that I love, so it was amazing to see them in person.
-The hosting bloggers were greeting people right at the door when we walked in, and I thought that was fun! It also eliminated the awkwardness of walking in and not knowing where to go.
-I loved that it was at a fun location that matched with the bloggers that were hosting. Since they all do home decor projects, it was a natural fit to have it at Pier 1 where we could look at all the fabulous home decor and get ideas from each other.
-Of course it was cool that they did four $500 giveaways. Who wouldn't jump at the chance to win $500 from Pier 1?
What I thought would have made it better:
-It would have been nice to have a section set aside with some chairs for the bloggers to sit at. We are a chatty bunch, and we all had to congregate at the front of the store and it was a bit crowded.
-I think it would have been waaay better to have more giveaways for a smaller amount. Like maybe five bloggers winning $100, instead of one winning $500. Because the more people who win, the more people who are going to leave extremely happy! And the more people who are going to blog about their experience.
-I think it would be fun to see how the winners spent their money. This one relates back to the idea above. I don't have $500 laying around, so seeing how someone spent $500 isn't that helpful for me. But to see how several bloggers spent $50 or even $100 would be awesome!
Overall, I thought the event was a success. Any time I can meet up with other bloggers, especially ladies with similar interests, it is a blast!
So, what about you? Have you attended any blogging events? Did you enjoy them? And most importantly, which ones are you attending this year? I wanna come and meet you!

I loved seeing you! (We need to do it again…SOON.)
I agree 100% with everything you said, too.
It was so awesome to meet you Kara – thanks so much for the feedback! We're glad you have fun and are looking forward to doing more stuff in the future
Thanks Crystal, I feel exactly the same way about you! And I must say that with all this darn snow, I am very jealous that you are enjoying warm weather!
