Elmer's contacted me a couple months ago and asked if I'd be interested in hosting an Elmer's Craft and Share night. I'd supply the crafters, they'd supply some awesome supplies. Of course it was not a tough decision to say "HECK YES!" I love getting together with friends, especially if we're going to be creating something cute!
I wanted to do a Christmas theme, so I waited a few weeks till everyone was in the holiday mood. I held my party last week, and it was a blast!! Elmer's was generous enough to supply everyone with an X-acto knife, scissors, self healing mat, glue stick, tape runner, glue dots, and foam board. They also supplied a bunch of other supplies for everyone to share, including a paper cutter and some decorative edge scissors which we put to good use. I tried to come up with things that would make good use of the free supplies we got. This is what we ended up making that night:
Book Page Christmas Ornaments (the paper cutter was super handy for these!)
This Gift Bag Topper (tutorial coming soon)
A gift wrap embellishment (tutorial coming soon)
And of course the gift tag I already blogged about.
Thanks to all my crafty friends who came to hang out with me that night, and thanks to Elmer's for making it all possible. I had a blast, and I'm pretty sure everyone else did too!
Lori, Cindy, Kaelyn, Liz, and Heather
Ashlee, Tracy, Kris, and Cynthia
And now for the best part!!!
Two of you get to host your own Craft and Tell Party! Woohoo!
Elmer's will send two of you a box full of supplies so you can invite your crafty friends over and party the night away. How awesome is that?

I love the gift tag idea, and they're so personal when they're hand made.
I like to recycle, so making tags and using yard or other study material and then using them again the next year is right up my alley.
