Snowman Cookies {Sugar Cookie Recipe}

Utah is known for snow. Lots and lots of snow. But not this winter. I’m not gonna lie, I am NOT complaining. I am not a fan of snow. Like at all. OK, I pretty much hate it. My boys on the other hand, are totally missing the snow around here. They love sledding in the back yard. My youngest son-no joke-loves shoveling snow. And they like building snowmen. This year there isn’t a snowflake in sight. So we decided to make our own snowmen.

Snowmen cookies that is!! Aren’t they the cutest? We just whipped up a batch of sugar cookies and some buttercream frosting, then decorated them with candy. My kids had a blast decorating them, even the older two. :)  I’ll take this version of snowmen any day! You can use any sugar cookie recipe, but I’m including our favorite. It’s the recipe I grew up with, and I’ve never found one I like better. Go grab your kids and make some cookies!!snowman-sugar cookie-recipe

Flatten with a cup dipped in flour. Bake at 375° for about 8-10 minutes. Cool and frost with white frosting. Decorate faces as desired.

  1. Mine taste like flour :(

    • Dang, I’m sorry to hear that. I wonder if maybe too much flour stuck to the bottom of your cup when you flattened them. You could try using sugar on the bottom instead. Hope that helps!
