Do any of the rest of you have kids that wait till 8:00 at night to tell you they have a project due the very next morning? Happens at our house waaaay more often than it should! Makes me want to beat people. Not really. Well maybe a little.
Last year on February 13th, my son informed me that he needed a Valentine box for his classroom party. We had to come up with something really fast with stuff we had laying around the house. When I searched for Valentine boxes online, most of the results were a little too pink, or frilly, or covered in hearts. Not so awesome for a boy.
But I did happen to come across a photo of a lego Valentine box. And this boy happens to love legos. I knew it was perfect. The photo I found didn’t link to any instructions, so I had to come up with my own. If you have a lego loving son who needs to bring a Valentine box to school, this would be perfect! Even if you find out at 8:00 the night before.
How to Make a Lego Valentine Box:
1-Find a shoe box (or other box).
2-Cut a hole in the top using an x-acto knife.
3-Cut six paper cups in half (paper works better, but all we had on hand was styrofoam)
4-Hot glue the bottoms of the cups onto the lid of your box.
5-Spray paint the whole thing.
You are finished! Wasn’t that easy?
