Peanut Butter Waffles

2 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 Tbsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs
2 cups milk
1/4 cup oil
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup peanut butter (I recommend crunchy)

Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, oil, vanilla, and peanut butter till smooth. Add to the dry ingredients and stir till barely combined. Cook in a hot waffle iron and serve warm.

Peanut Butter Syrup

2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup peanut butter
1/2 tsp vanilla

Bring sugar and water to a full rolling bowl in a small saucepan. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter and vanilla. Stir till peanut butter is melted and syrup is smooth. Syrup thickens as it cools.

I am a peanut butter fanatic. Everything is better with peanut butter on it. I’ve always put peanut butter on my waffles, and then added syrup. It’s delicious! Now I have a recipe for peanut butter syrup. Thank you for the inspiration.

    • Peanut butter and syrup sounds pretty good, but I bet you’ll enjoy this recipe even more. I’m a peanut butter fan myself, and I love it!

  2. If my syrup is separating, what an I doing incorrectly?

    • It’s hard for me to say because that has never happened to me. I’d try putting it in the blender. That might help emulsify it together.

This recipe is soooo good. And the syrup makes these waffles to die for. Thanks for sharing! I will totally make these again and again!

  4. How much syrup does this make?? Will it fill a mason jar?

  5. Hmm YUM! It sounds like the perfect breakfast this weekend

I rarely do “sweet” breakfasts because I have to have protein with each meal. Although I don’t do waffles, pancakes I do do on occasion. Gonna add PB to pancake batter and top with the devine sounding PB syrup! What a nice protein break from eggs and omelettes. Thanks!

  7. Peanut butter syruuuup?!!! I am so excited to try this. Thanks so much for the mention! I’m glad you like the waffles!!
