Sorry about the lack of linky party yesterday. It is hectic at my house. Being sick for two weeks will leave you with a boatload of catching up to do. I have been planning on doing an Adoption Boutique at my house. This weekend. I had great plans of selling hair clips, headbands, vinyl lettering, home decor, and jewelry. And of course handing out our pass along cards.
I’ve been scrambling trying to get things ready, but it just isn’t working. My good hubbie suggested that maybe I should postpone it till the first weekend in December. I decided that it would probably be a good idea, especially if I want to keep my sanity. So I am moving it to the 3rd and 4th. I feel so much better just saying that. 🙂
In the meantime, I’ve got nothin’ to show you. So I’m sharing a post from over a year ago. I only had a handful of readers, so most of you haven’t seen it before. It’s my laundry room makeover, and I still love that room. Although I have to admit that when I look at the pictures, all I can think is, “Wow, I can’t believe my laundry room was ever that clean!” 😉
So are you ready to see my laundry room makeover?
Here are the before photos:Sorry, hope I didn’t burn your retinas with the ugliness. 🙂

Here it is now the one day it was perfectly clean:
I probably should have put away the Downy and the laundry soap, but I’m just tryin’ to keep it real. (OK, maybe I was just too lazy.)
I painted my cabinets antique white just like I did in my boy’s bathroom. Makes the room so much brighter and clean looking. Having the counter all cleared of the usual crap stuff helps with the clean look too. I wonder how long that will last?
This is where my thrifty laundry sign ended up. The door leads to a storage room:
This is a photo of the wall as you are walking out towards the kitchen:
I saw a similar vinyl sign in a store, so I designed and cut my own. I think my future will be filled with lettering on the walls. It is so fun!
Yes, I have a frame with no pictures hanging on my wall. What? Doesn’t everyone do that?!?
I am so happy with the way things turned out. Literally. I smile every time I walk in.
I still have like 362 more ideas that I want to use to decorate, but I just didn’t have the time. My family kind of thought that I should feed them and provide clean socks and underwear, not to mention driving them to their various activities. I know. The nerve of some people! I will get around to the rest of my projects over the next few weeks, so make sure you check back.
Let me know what you think. If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them!
Pretty! I love the blue color you chose. It’s also great that you have an easy place to hang clothes to dry. I need that BADLY!
