Thanks so much for stopping by Creations by Kara today!

I love all things creative, and so do my great readers. I’m sharing some of the most popular crafts, printables, and do it yourself projects on my site. These are twenty three of the all time favorite projects from my other readers just like you! Several of them have been viewed and pinned over 100,00 times!

You will find a few free printables, some easy home decor projects, craft projects, DIY bath products, and even some home renovation ideas.  Enjoy!

I started crafting seriously after I got married. As a stay at home mom, I needed a creative outlet. I started by teaching myself to sew, crochet, and paint. As the years went by, I quickly discovered that it was dang expensive to decorate and furnish my home on a budget. I wanted my home to be filled with beauty, but I didn’t want to pay through the nose for it.

So I learned how to use spray paint, stain, and fabric to make my own decorations. That gave me the confidence to try making over pieces of furniture from the thrift store. Pretty soon I swallowed my fears and gave power tools a try and found out that I actually loved using them!

I have no training, and I’m not an expert by any means. But I have learned that most things are doable if you have a few tools and great instructions. I love inspiring women to try new things, especially when it comes to creating a beautiful home that they love.

I am often surprised by which projects turn out to be popular. When I made my rag quilt, it was the first one I had ever sewn. Because I was a beginner, I wrote down every single step. I was blown away when it went viral, and it has been one of my most popular posts for years!

The project on this list that I am most proud of is the Corner Mudroom Bench. When we moved into this house, it didn’t have a mudroom or a laundry room. We knocked out a wall and transformed a small bathroom into a mudroom/laundry room with a ton of storage. It took several weekends, but I am in LOVE with how it turned out!

I hope you find a few ideas that you can try!
