Subway art is all the rage in blog land. I’m a little late, but I finally decided to jump on the bandwagon and whip up some Halloween subway art. I wanted my letters to be white, so instead of a printable, I did mine out of vinyl. It took me a couple hours to painstakingly design it. Does anyone else out there obsess over choosing fonts? I think I have a problem. It takes me FOREVER to choose fonts for projects. Seriously.
After I had it all designed, I cut it out, put it in an old frame that I sprayed with Krylon black matte spray paint, and put some festive paper behind it. I was all proud of my work and put it up on the mantle to display. And then. . .
Later that evening I heard my 7yo ask my husband, “Dad, why did mom spell pumpkins wrong?” Then I heard laughing. I walked over, and lo and behold, the “i” is missing in pumpkins. And I didn’t even notice! Ooops.
I quickly cut out another “i”, and fixed my sign. Thank goodness my 2nd grader caught the mistake before someone else saw it and realized what a moron I am! 😉
I am selling the vinyl in my Etsy store. “I” included. 🙂
So funny. 🙂 I love it Kara! And the white letters are perfect. 🙂 (even the I)
xoxo,
Amy
