My yard is still covered in snow, so I like bringing spring inside early every year. At least while I’m looking at my spring decor, I can pretend that the grass outside is green and the flowers are blooming!

I whipped up a little printable to welcome spring. Who knows, maybe it will help spring come a bit sooner? Wouldn’t that be nice.

This print is designed it to fit inside an 8×10 frame. Usually I get my prints done at Costco because it’s quick and easy and I can order them in the morning and have my husband pick them up on his way home from work.

I put my spring sign in an old red frame I had in my stash. Since I knew I wanted to distress it, I didn’t want the red showing through. I used black spray paint to cover the red. After giving it a quick spray with black spray paint I let it dry. Then I brushed it with white chalk paint and sanded it for a distressed look.

It’s one of my favorite frames now! I just love a thick, chunky frame. If you’re not a hoarder like me with dozens of frames stashed in your basement, here’s a bunch of pretty farmhouse frames you can buy. 

 

I used some watercolor flowers that I downloaded at kisspng. I love the soft colors – just perfect for spring!
