The Christmas Spirit- Sunday Inspiration

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend with my extended family. I love having my boys out of school and my husband home from work. It is just awesome. Family is the best!

Now that Thanksgiving is done, we are in full Christmas mode at our house. We put up the tree yesterday, and will be finishing the rest of the Christmas decor over the next couple of days. I’ve got Christmas music playing as I type. I LOVE the Christmas season!

We are simplifying Christmas at our house this year. We are going to spend less time shopping and more time at home as a family. We are going to try to focus more on the real reason for Christmas-the birth of Christ. Because really, following Him and living the way he taught us is all that matters.

Hope this touches you like it touched me. Sometimes little children really are the best teachers.

I think many of us are simplifying this year and you know, it feels good! We are focusing more on activities and events – going to visit Temple Square, tree-lightings and special hot chocolate runs! Happy Holidays!
