Ingredients

Sauce Ingredients:

beef broth

soy sauce

fresh broccoli florets

black pepper

ground ginger
or a tablespoon fresh ginger

brown sugar

sesame oil
pinch
of red pepper flakes

cornstarch + 1/2 cup cold water
Instructions
Wash broccoli and cut into bite sized pieces. Dice the onion.
In a large skillet with deep sides, brown the ground beef and onion over medium-high heat. Drain off excess fat.
Add garlic and saute for about a minute.
Stir in the beef broth, soy sauce, and broccoli. Turn the heat down to medium. Cover and cook for 4 minutes, stirring a couple of times.
Stir in the pepper, ginger, brown sugar, oil, and red pepper flakes.
Whisk together the cornstarch and cold water. Add to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the broth thickens and turns clear.
Serve hot over fluffy white rice. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
-I make about 3 cups of rice to serve with this dish. You may want more or less. Rice is not included in the nutrition information.
