Homemade Honey Butter Recipe

This easy recipe for honey butter is one of the best ways to liven homemade biscuits, fresh dinner rolls, and so many more foods. Such a versatile sweet spread!

Ingredients
  

  • cup salted butter softened to room temperature
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions
 

  • Let butter soften at room temperature for a couple of hours.
  • Combine softened butter, honey, vanilla, and powdered sugar in a small bowl.
  • Using a hand mixer, beat the ingredients on low until well combined, scraping the sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula.
  • Whip for 1-2 minutes more at medium speed, until it has reached a fluffy texture. Serve at room temperature.
  • Leftover honey butter will keep in the refrigerator in an airtight container for a couple of weeks. Let it come to room temperature and beat it again before serving.

Notes

If you use unsalted butter, add a pinch of sea salt with the other ingredients.
