Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • ½ cup sweet onion diced
  • 2 stalks celery sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 15 oz can diced tomatoes with juice
  • 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 5 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup fresh green beans cut in 1" pieces

Instructions
 

  • In a 5-6 quart soup pot, cook ground beef, onion, and celery over medium high heat until meat is browned. Drain off any fat.
  • Add minced garlic and saute for about a minutes.
  • Add Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth. Bring to a boil and simmer uncovered for 10-15 minutes.
  • Add green beans, and cook for another 10 minutes or until green beans are tender.
  • Garnish with shredded cheese if desired.
