Ingredients

  • 6 slices bacon diced
  • 1 pound fresh green beans washed and trimmed
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  • Wash the beans and trim the ends if needed.
  • Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 7-8 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to transfer it to a paper towel-lined plate. Remove all but a tablespoon of the bacon grease.
  • Add the green beans and water to the pan with the bacon drippings. Cover and cook for 4-5 minutes over medium-high heat. Remove the lid and continue cooking and stirring until beans are crisp tender.
  • Add the garlic and crisp bacon and cook for 30-60 seconds. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the top, then stir until beans are coated.
  • Serve immediately, sprinkling bacon over the top.
