Reserve a few strawberries to garnish the top of your trifle. Slice the strawberries and toss with the 1/2 cup sugar. Set aside.
Beat the cream cheese in a large bowl until smooth. Beat in the powdered sugar and orange juice concentrate, beat till smooth.
Whip the cream till soft peaks form, then fold it into the cream cheese mixture.
Cut the pound cake into 1" cubes. (I like to cut off the end pieces first.)
To assemble: In a trifle dish or glass bowl, layer 1/3 of the cake cubes, 1/3 of the cream mixture, 1/2 of the berries. Repeat. Then add the remaining cake cubes and top with the remaining cream. Garnish the top with strawberries.
Notes
I like to use my homemade pound cake for this recipe, but you won't need the entire cake. If you prefer, you can use a store bought pound cake.
