popcorn-kernelsRaise your hand if you love caramel popcorn. It’s awesome, right?
Unfortunately, sometimes those bowls of buttery caramely crunch goodness are hiding dangerous weapons.

Weapons of mass destruction.
OK, maybe not mass destruction, but definite tooth destruction.

Have you ever been munching along on some yummy popcorn, minding your own beeswax, and then all of the sudden crunched down on an un-popped kernel?

WOOWSA!

At the very least it hurts, at the very worst you’ll end up at the dentist getting a cracked tooth repaired.
Not my idea of fun.

There is a simple way to get rid of those un-popped kernels, and assuring that you won’t be the one that sends a party guest to the dentist. And it takes about 1 minute.

Are you ready?

Place a cooling rack over your bowl of freshly popped popcorn. Invert and shake.Caramel-popcorn-tip
All of the unpopped kernels (or old maids as we like to call them) will fall through the holes, leaving you with a bowl full of fluffy popcorn. No weapons included.

Now go, share this tip.
Party go-ers everywhere will rejoice!
Hooray for safer popcorn!!

You’re welcome.
