Red and Green Christmas Mantel

It may have taken me 62 tries and 23 trips to the store (give or take a few), but I finally have my Christmas mantel decorated. And the sun finally peeked its head out so I could snap a few shots. My first Christmas miracle of the season. 😉

I went with traditional red and green, and I love how bright and festive it is.
diy-christmas-decor-christmas-mantelI got the hurricane lamps from DownEast Home, and the glass vases from Wal-mart. I got the cute little  bells from the Dollar Store, and added some ornaments I bought on clearance.

diy-christmas-mantelI always have a stash of white candles, they are handy all year long! I just wrapped them up with some green ribbon that can easily be removed later if I need them for something else. And of course you remember my DIY Joy sign, right?

diy-christmas-mantel-decorI’m pretty sure I’m the very last blogger to be sharing my mantel. Missed all of the Christmas mantel link up parties. Dang.
On the upside, not many folks will see it, so even if I don’t change it up much next year, it will still be new to most people! 🙂
