Lego Valentine Box for boys
Do any of the rest of you have kids that wait till 8:00 at night to tell you they have a project due the very next morning? Happens at our house waaaay more often than it should! Makes me want to beat people. Not really. Well maybe a little.

Last year on February 13th, my son informed me that he needed a Valentine box for his classroom party. We had to come up with something really fast with stuff we had laying around the house. When I searched for Valentine boxes online, most of the results were a little too pink, or frilly, or covered in hearts. Not so awesome for a boy.

But I did happen to come across a photo of a lego Valentine box. And this boy happens to love legos. I knew it was perfect. The photo I found didn’t link to any instructions, so I had to come up with my own. If you have a lego loving son who needs to bring a Valentine box to school, this would be perfect! Even if you find out at 8:00 the night before. 🙂

How to Make a Lego Valentine Box:
1-Find a shoe box (or other box).
2-Cut a hole in the top using an x-acto knife.
3-Cut six paper cups in half (paper works better, but all we had on hand was styrofoam)
4-Hot glue the bottoms of the cups onto the lid of your box.
5-Spray paint the whole thing.

You are finished! Wasn’t that easy?

Love this idea. Pinned it for when my little guys are in elementary school.

Haha! Yes Amy, I do have an e-mail subscription option. On the top right, just above my photo–just click the blue box with the envelope in it. Let me know if it doesn’t work for you.

Love the idea! I have 5 boys, so I definitely appreciate this! Only my oldest had to make one this year and we’re almost done (yes, even I’m amazed 🙂 But I’m definitely pinning this for the future.

Way to be done early! My week has been so insane that we were up past 10 last night just putting together the valentines for my boys’ classmates. 🙁

What a great idea, Kara! My son doesn’t need a valentine box, but he does love legos – so I just might make him one to use for lego storage! Thanks!

With four boys of my own, I know just how hard it is to come up with ideas that aren’t too girly!

I love that idea Stephanie! With the amount of legos we have at our house, I think I would need a dishwasher sized box. LOL!

Cute! Valentines is such a hard holiday for boy stuff. It always seems that the girl ideas are 10 times more than boy ideas online anyways. Thanks for posting something for the boys.
