Woke up on Tuesday morning thinking it was going to be another regular day. That afternoon we got THE CALL. The one we’ve been waiting for for almost six years. Jennifer at Little Angels called and let us know that a birth mother had picked us, and that the baby was already born and waiting for us to pick her up.
After we picked ourselves up off the floor, Wes scheduled the next flight out for Sacramento. Jen met us at the airport with the most beautiful baby girl we have ever seen. She is an angel. We are head over heels in love!
We are praying for a miracle that we will be able to be home for Easter.

I can only imagine what an emotional week you’ve had (I still remember when my brother and wife drove across state to pick up their baby boy, so happy an occassion, but also quite emotional). Wow…what a BLESSING! Doesn’t she just smell wonderful? (And no, I don’t mean the baby shampoo…that does smell good, but babies just smell so good all by themselves. Wish I could smell her sweet little head.) Congratulations and remember to ask for help. Having a newborn is awesome, but tiring. Letting others do things so you get as much bonding time is the best. (Besides, …. letting them do the dishes isn’t much of a sacrifice!) Wishing you all the best.

Congratulations!!! My hubby and I have received two of those wonderful phone calls. 26 and 28 years later…we are still in love with our girls that Jesus picked out for us. We just became Grandparents last week and we are enjoying it so much. Brings back lots of wonderful memories when we received the “call” and how Blessed we have been to be their parents! I am so thrilled for your family! I am a grandmother of an adopted little girl and she lights up my world. I remember when we were chosen to be her family. We were so nervous that she would change her mind and had to wait about 2 months before she was born. That day she signed those papers was a dream come true. She is almost 5 now and the first of 5 grandchildren. I pray that you are so blessed with your new bundle of joy. Praise God that it happened so quickly and I pray you will be home to share her for Easter!
