Yummy Fresh Peach Dessert

Our two peach trees were loaded this year, so I have become very creative trying to find recipes with fresh peaches. (No one in my family likes bottled peaches, so that option is out.)

Anyway, I came up with this recipe because I’m not real fond of cooked peaches, but I love crisps (you know, like apple crisp). The peaches aren’t cooked, so it is much faster than traditional peach crisp. It is, in my humble opinion, divine. And as a bonus, it is super simple to make. Hope you have some fresh peaches layin’ around, your gonna love it

Yummy Fresh Peach Dessert

2/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup oats
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 cup soft butter or margarine
Fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
Vanilla ice cream

Mix the brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon, and butter till crumby. Spread in a glass pie plate. If all you have is a 9″ pan, that will also work. Bake 400 for 12-15 minutes or till lightly browned. Remove from oven and stir with a fork till crumbly. Serve over peaches and ice cream. Yum!
