My mom used to make this chocolate chip pie when I was growing up but I haven’t had it for years. I actually forgot about it, but found the recipe tucked away in an old worn cookbook and decided to take a trip down memory lane. I’m so glad I did. It was just as good as I remember! My mom used walnuts, but it is even better with pecans!
Rich and decadent Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie - a perfect pie for chocolate fans! It is great served warm or cold.

I like pecan pie, but this one is perfect when you need a little chocolate! I love the contrast of the crisp top, the soft chocolate middle, and the crunch of the nuts. Oh so yummy! If you serve it warm from the oven, it is great with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
This Chocolate Chip Pie is loaded with pecans, and is rich and delicious! A perfect pie recipe for chocolate and nut lovers!

To be honest though, I actually like this pie best after it is totally cooled.
Whether you serve it hot or at room temperature, this Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie will win you rave reviews!

If are a chocolate lover, and you like pecan pie, you should give chocolate chip pecan pie a try. It is amazing!

Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie

3 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 9″ unbaked pie crust
Beat eggs till foamy. Add sugars and flour and beat till smooth. Stir in butter, vanilla, pecans, and chips. Pour into pie crust. Bake at 325° for 55-60 minutes. Cool before serving.
–You need a large pie tin for this recipe. If you use a smaller pan, it will overflow and make a mess in your oven. If you are using a purchased pie crust, make sure you get one labeled “deep dish”.
–This is good served warm (not hot), but I prefer it at room temperature.
–It is pretty rich, so it will serve 10-12.
