Recipe for glazed crockpot chicken - a sweet glazed chicken with a kick. A perfect family meal for busy nights.

This Glazed Crock pot Chicken is slightly sweet with a bit of a spicy kick. The sauce is perfect over rice!

Glazed Crockpot Chicken - serve over rice for an easy, tasty dinner. Sweet and spicy glazed chicken is a perfect family recipe.

As every totally frazzled mom knows, hectic weeks are perfect for crock pot meals. Just throw a few things together and in a few hours you have an awesome meal ready. Gotta love that!

This chicken actually came together because I was trying to make a recipe for honey glazed chicken but realized I was short on honey. So I just threw a bunch of stuff together and hoped it would be good. Thankfully it was. Really good actually. My family loved it. The red pepper flakes add a nice contrast to the sweetness of the sauce. If you like things spicy, feel free to add more.

Recipe for sweet and spicy glazed crock pot chicken. A great dinner recipe for busy nights.

Here’s hoping that you can make this recipe because you feel like it, and not because you’re having a stressful, wish you lived on a deserted island kind of week. 😉

It just takes a few simple ingredients to make this glazed crockpot chicken. A perfect busy night dinner recipe.

Made a dish last night that was nearly identical to this one. My son, who is a fairly picky eater, said “it’s a do-over!” I accidentally threw away my recipe and couldn’t find it online … but this one is the closest I’ve found! Thank you so much for providing it! Tip: cut up the chicken into “chunks” after cooking then recombine with the sauce. The cut up pieces soak up the sauce nicely! This is an easy meal for us on-the-go families.

I made this last night for my family and they loved it. My picky 9 year old who eats like a bird even when she likes the food, ate two whole chicken breasts! My husband said he loved it and if I made it a bit spicier it would taste like it came from his favorite oriental restaurant. I’m sure I will be making it again real soon and I’ll have to share it on my blog and link back next time. I would have done it this time but I was already eating the sauce with a spoon before I even had dinner made, and just couldn’t be bothered to take photos of it before I got to eat. 🙂

I always feel better when I am not alone in my million plus one undone things in the house. I actually had amazing inspiration this week (actually two days) and was able to finish some of those projects, much like yours. The chicken looks amazing and think I will try it when I return home. Thanks for sharing.
