Ribbon Hair Bows

I love making fabric hair bows.  I love how versatile they are. I mean have you seen all the amazing cotton fabrics out there? Not to mention the organza, the silk, the denim, the felt. The list goes on and on. I also love how unique they are. Ribbon bows have been around for ages, but fabric flower clips are relatively new. So I’ve basically stuck with those. Not that I don’t have a lot of ribbon. Because I do. Waaay to much for a normal person. I’ve just never used it very often to make hair bows.

Until yesterday. My cousin Tami came over for our weekly craft day. (Which I am loving!) She showed me a new method for making bows that I’ve never seen before. They are totally adorable. I pulled out some of my baby outfits and made bows specifically to match them. Here are a few we made:
Aren’t all those layers fun!!

After she left, I decided to try my hand at the ribbon flowers. They were so much easier than I thought they would be! Most people add a button to the middle, but I decided to add a tiny yellow rosette.
Holey moley I love them!

Which one is your favorite?

Can you give directions on how to make them all? I make all my little girls hair bows and I would love to learn how to make these for her. Thanks in advance ๐Ÿ™‚

I love the little ribbon flowers. I especially love the yellow rosettes. I have never tried that before, but I think I might have to now.

I also thought of a suggestion for your ribbons on etsy. Maybe you could offer some of them in sets of two–that is how I usually use them. Also if you had some pictures of someone wearing them that would help give an idea of the size. I pictured some of them being really big, but when I saw them at your house they were smaller than I expected. You have so many cute ideas!

I love those! I really like the rosettes in the middle of the flowers. I have never seen them like that.
