Sprucing up My Wall Shelf with Spring Decor

A few years ago I painted the shelf that hangs above our front door. And then proceeded to procrastinate adding accessories to it. I finally bit the bullet, dragged out the ginormous ladder, and prettied up my entry wall shelf with spring decor. Because spring decor just makes me giddy!! I am so in love with this space now!
Wall Shelf with DIY Spring Decor

It was actually much easier than I thought, and I wish I’d gotten to it sooner. It sure makes an impact in the space! And it’s nice not being embarrassed that I have a totally empty shelf hanging in my entry. Most people probably don’t take note of it the first time, but after a few visits, I’m sure they thought it was a little strange that it never changed. I have nice friends though, because even if they thought I was either crazy or lazy, none of them ever mentioned it. LOL!
Aqua Entry Shelf MakeoverMost of the decorations came from my stock pile, and once I actually tackled it, the space came together pretty fast. Don’t you just love it?
Aqua and White Shelf DecorThe cabinet door was given to me by a friend who’s husband built cabinets. It was a leftover. I simply re-stained it. I bought the boxwood wreath at Tai Pan Trading on clearance. Score! I simply attached it to the door with some fabric.
Aqua Shelf Decor IdeasThe candlesticks I had on hand. They were black, so I painted them aqua and distressed them a little. The little lantern and moss bird were both from Rod Works. I think. My memory fails me because I actually bought them last year. The little blue jar is from Tai Pan Trading, and I had the flowers on hand.
Easy Shelf Decor Ideas for SpringThe frames were picked up at the thrift store and painted. So easy! I had the fabric covered books and the pillar on hand. The cute little blue lantern is from Ikea. I think that pretty much sums it up.

Have you started pulling out the spring decor, or are you savoring the last weeks of winter?
