If you haven’t noticed by now, I am a sucker for anything chocolate mint. I love it all year round, but especially this time of year. Chocolate mint just screams Christmas season to me. I make sure to load up on all the seasonal chocolate mint candies that are only available this time of year.
Mint M&M’s and Mint Truffle Kisses are some of my favorites! It was only a matter of time before I headed to the kitchen to make my own chocolate mint candy recipe.
With the pretty green layer at the bottom, these pretty little treats are perfect for Christmas. I love it that as soon as you bite into one, it melts in your mouth, but then the Oreos add an unexpected crunch. They are so yummy!
These mint candies are a cinch to whip up. Just four ingredients and a few minutes of prep. The hardest part is just waiting for the chocolate to set up before you can dig in!

How to make Oreo chocolate mint candies:
Line 24 mini muffin cups with mini paper liners. Set aside. Melt green candy melts and oil in a glass bowl in the microwave at half power, stirring every 30 seconds till smooth. Divide between the muffin cups.
Sprinkle crushed Oreos evenly over the melted chocolate.
Coarsely chop the Andes Mints, then melt in a a glass bowl in the microwave at half power, stirring every 30 seconds till smooth. Pour over the top of the Oreo crumbs.
Let sit at room temperature till hardened. That’s it!

- 2 tsp vegetable oil or shortening
- 3 Mint Oreo cookies crushed
- 9.2 ounces Andes Mints (2 boxes)
Instructions

Can these be frozen?
Yes, I think you could freeze them. Sometimes chocolate gets a streaky look when you freeze it, but it doesn’t affect the taste.
