Silver, Green, and Red Christmas Shelf Decor

I mentioned a few days ago that I was way behind on putting up Christmas decor. I thought this would be the week, but fun things like frozen pipes got in the way. We thought we had them fixed, but they froze again. After running space heaters, cutting through flooring, stuffing air returns, and a host of other ideas, my washer is now working again. And the dust has settled and my house is semi back to normal again.

I have the Christmas tree up, and one area decorated. One. My copycat Ballard Design Shelves are now all decked out for Christmas. Hooray!

They are right between my kitchen and family room, and it makes me happy just looking at them. It’s nice to have something nice and festive to look at amidst the chaos that is the rest of the house!

I was gong to go with just red, green, and white, but then I found these potted trees on clearance for $8, and I couldn’t pass them up. So I added silver to the mix. I wrapped them with ribbon I already had in my stash.
silver-christmas-decorMost of you probably recognize the Book Page Christmas Tree Banner I posted about back in November. It was simple to make, and I love it!
christmas-decor-ideasI made this felt pointsettia wreath a few weeks ago, and I still haven’t had time to write up the tutorial. With the way things have been going, it will have to be next year! I wanted to tie in the silver from the pots, so I filled a dollar store cup with silver bells (also from the dollar store), and wrapped it with a small red ribbon.
christmas-decorating-ideasMy Christmas tree sign was looking a little lonely by itself, so I placed some ornaments in front of it, and they worked perfectly in the space!
christmas-decorating-ideasAnd there you have it, my Christmas shelf decor! Currently my favorite little space in the house. To bad it doesn’t have a nice comfortable chair in front of it so I could curl up with some hot cocoa and a good book! 🙂
christmas-shelf-decorHow are you coming with your Christmas decorating? What is your favorite space?
