I made it and it wasn’t so tasty, no flavor. I used frozen corn and basil that didn’t have a strong flavor.. Won’t make it again.

Hope it turns out better for others.

Sorry you didn’t love it. With the bacon and the fresh basil, it’s flavorful enough for me, but I love basil.

I need a good party recipe, can this be made in a crock pot? Crock pots are easier for traveling!; Thanks,Lori

I have never actually tried making it in a crockpot, but I imagine that it would work. It’s worth a try!

Can this be made ahead and then baked when ready to eat??

I haven’t tried it, but I think it would work just fine. I’d guess it could be made the day before and stored in the refrigerator overnight, and be just as tasty. Give it a try and let me know how it turns out!

I ate this at the restaurant and enjoyed it. I tried many times but failed. Today saw your recipe, and I believe this time I will succeed. Thanks a lot!

I’m a firm believer in the position that dip can be a meal, not just a snack. Great post! I’ll be making this for my next party!

Ok honestly I have no idea why I haven’t made this yet. I have made so many recipes from this book, but I haven’t tried this one and I am totally a dip person. So I don’t know what I am waiting for. It looks so yummy!

Oh yes, you will have to try it soon- it is seriously yummy! So many good recipes in the book. We just tried the peanut butter waffles, and they were also a huge hit at my house!
