Raspberry Poppy Seed Dressing– Slightly sweet, slightly tangy, perfect on top of spinach salad!

I’ll admit that I am a bit of a salad dressing snob, and I usually can’t stand bottled dressing. Homemade is so much better! Homemade ranch dressing and cilantro lime dressing are two of my favorites!

My husband and son got home on Thursday night. Friday we did a little work in the yard, then went shopping for a lighting fixture and other accessories for the bathroom. That night we went to a church party at the park, and my hubby left from that with my 11 year old on yet another camp out. I think it is safe to say that we are both hoping the rest of the summer is free from scout camp outs!

I have been trying lots of recipes lately, and some of them have been just fabulous! Can’t wait to share them all with you. It is so hard deciding which ones I should post first! But I’ve decided to start with this Raspberry Poppy Seed Dressing.

I tried this yummy dressing at a ladies luncheon at church awhile back. They served it with a grilled chicken spinach salad. It was so darn yummy I made sure to find out who made it and get the recipe.

Turns out it was one of my friends from girl’s camp last year, Carolyn. She called me that week and gave me the recipe. It is really good!

How to make Raspberry Poppy Seed Dressing:

Ingredients:

  • sugar
  • dry mustard
  • salt
  • apple cider vinegar
  • olive oil
  • poppy seeds
  • raspberry yogurt

Like most dressings, this one is very simple. Just combine all the ingredients and whisk them till smooth. I used to use a mason jar and tiny whisk.  I’ve upgraded to this handy salad dressing blender, so I just dump in all the ingredients and give it a shake. I love it!

I love the addition of the yogurt in this  dressing. It not only adds to the flavor, it makes the dressing creamier than most vinaigrettes. I love it with spinach salad, and any type of salad with berries. I served it on top of my strawberry spinach salad this time, and it was fantastic!

This is an excellent dressing! I use it for fruit salad and spinach salad.
Depending on what fruit I have in my salad I either use strawberry, raspberry or cherry yogurt.

So glad you like it! I have also tried strawberry, but not cherry yet. I’ll have to give that version a try!

This is such a simple and delicious dressing. Poppyseed is one of my favorites and it pairs so nicely with the raspberry flavor. Love having this one hand.
