Looking for a simple autumn fruit salad that tastes delicious but doesn’t take a lot of time? This creamy Apple Salad is ready in ten minutes, and everyone loves it.
With crisp apples, chewy craisins, and crunchy almonds, every bit is bursting with texture and flavor! It’s easy enough for busy weeknight dinners, but pretty enough for potlucks and parties.

Apples are a popular fruit at my house. They are one fruit that every single member of my family likes, and it’s handy that they are readily available all year long. Of course, they are tastiest during the fall and winter, and we go through boxes of them!
My kids will eat sliced apples just on their own, but they really like it when I make dip, or toss them into fruit salads. This recipe only has apples in it, so it makes everyone at the dinner table happy. I actually like to serve the craisins and nuts on the side so that everyone can choose as many or as few as they want.

HOW TO MAKE APPLE SALAD
Ingredients needed:
- apples (We like honeycrisp or fuji apples best.)
- toasted almonds (You can buy them toasted, or toast your own.)
- craisins (or raisins)
- vanilla yogurt (You can substitute greek yogurt if you prefer.)
After chopping the apples and almonds, all you have to do is stir all the ingredients together in a large bowl. That’s it! Serve immediately or chill.
This apple fruit salad is best served within a few hours. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for about a day, but the apples will start to turn brown.
VARIATIONS:
- We like this apple salad recipe best with dried cranberries, but you can use raisins if you prefer. I think golden raisins would be tasty.
- For extra sweetness (and kid appeal), stir in some mini marshmallows.
- Feel free to try a different flavor of yogurt in place of vanilla. You could even use plain yogurt and add a bit of honey, sugar, or brown sugar.
- Instead of the red apples, you can use green apples, or a combination of both.
- Try adding some halved grapes with the apples.
- Stir in some sliced celery.
