Chocolate Peanut Butter Truffles- with only four ingredients, these truffles are not only delicious, but easy to make!

Chocolate and peanut butter are a favorite combination at my house. We also love Reese’s peanut butter chocolate cake, chocolate peanut butter poke cake, and peanut butter truffle brownies.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Truffles

We are back from our day off yesterday. It was fabulous and ended much too soon. Now I am back to catching up on laundry, making a birthday poster for my son’s classroom, cleaning out the fridge, making bean bags for a scout activity tomorrow, and preparing for my third cooking class this Thursday. Yikes!

Here is the recipe for chocolate peanut butter truffles that I promised.

These were the easiest truffles I’ve ever made. I used creamy peanut butter, but you can use chunky if that’s what you have.  I rolled them in finely chopped peanuts, but you can roll them in powdered sugar or even cocoa powder.

The peanut butter flavor is subtle, but it does become more pronounced the longer you store them. They are extremely creamy and just melt in your mouth. It is a little bit scary how easy they are. 😉

How to make chocolate peanut butter truffles:

These truffles are ridiculously easy. You start by melting chocolate chips in the microwave.

After the chocolate is melted, stir in the peanut butter and chill for about 20 minutes.

Stir in the Cool Whip and chill for several hours.

When the mixture is cold and thick, roll into balls, then roll in powdered sugar or chopped peanuts.

How do I store chocolate truffles?

I like to store my truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator, because I like them nice and cold.

You can store them at a cooler room temperature, but if they get too warm they will start to melt.
