These Cheesy Breakfast Sliders whip up in a snap, and they are incredibly tasty. You can even make them ahead for hectic mornings!

Loaded with ham, eggs, and real cheddar cheese, these scrumptious Cheesy Breakfast Sliders will satisfy even the heartiest of appetites!

Cheesy Breakfast Sliders with ham

We are a family of cheese lovers. My five year old requests a cheese quesadilla every single day. No joke, every single day. We love cheese on everything from taco soup to broccoli.  One thing is certain though, it must be 100% real natural cheese.

They won’t touch the processed American cheese slices. (Did you know they are only required to have 51% real cheese?) They will not even order a cheeseburger at a restaurant because they hate the fake stuff.

At our house it has to be the good stuff. I buy cheddar cheese in 3 pound blocks. Teenagers go through a lot of cheese! For sandwiches, I love buying Sargento® sliced cheese. The provolone is one of our favorites. Speaking of cheese, just look at that ooey gooey goodness. Yum!

This is my first time ever making sliders, and I am hooked! Everyone in my family raved about these. In fact, they were such a hit that I’ve already made them twice.

They are perfect for hectic mornings, because you can make them ahead, then just heat them up in the microwave. And they are absolutely delicious.

Another bonus to these breakfast sliders is that they are totally customizable. You can switch up the meats and cheese to your family’s tastes. For my first batch, I used  sliced sharp cheddar cheese and ham. We usually buy mild, and I was worried that we wouldn’t like the sharp cheese, but everyone ended up loving it. I thought it had great flavor.

For the next batch I used peppered roast beef and sharp cheddar. That was my favorite. Absolutely scrumptious! You can use sausage or bacon, and you can use any flavor of cheese. I think the sliced provolone or pepper jack would be awesome.

These breakfast sliders are so easy to put together. Just cut your pretzel rolls in half and place them in the bottom of a 9×13″ pan. (I could get 11 to fit in my pan.) Then layer eggs, meat, and sliced cheese. Place the tops back on and brush with the butter glaze. Then bake for a few minutes. That’s it!

This recipe can be doubled, or cut in half. It is so versatile. And trust me, everyone will sing your praises when you serve them one of these fantastic breakfast sliders!

How to make Easy Cheesy Breakfast Sliders

Ingredients:

  • pretzel rolls
  • eggs
  • salt and pepper
  • cheddar cheese
  • sliced ham
  • butter
  • worcestershire sauce
  • poppy seeds
  1. Cut the pretzel rolls in half and place the bottom halves cut side up in a 9×13″ baking dish. Set aside.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, salt, pepper, and grated cheese. Cook in a medium hot skillet till just set. Try not to scramble them too much, just flip them over. (Don’t overcook, they will finish cooking as the sandwiches bake.)
  3. Divide cooked eggs between the bottom buns. Top with ham, then cheese slices. You will need to break up the cheese slices and stack them on top of the meat. Add the pretzel bun tops.
  4. Whisk together the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, and poppy seeds. Brush evenly over the tops of the sliders.
  5. Cover loosely with foil and bake at 350° for about 25 minutes, or till cheese melts. Serve hot.

These are delicious! I’ve been wanting to try them for months but I couldn’t find pretzel rolls anywhere. I finally spotted some at Super Target yesterday and remembered this recipe. My whole family loved them and the kids are normally really picky. Thanks for sharing!
