Yield: 8-10 servings
Ingredients
  • 1 pie crust, uncooked (homemade or store bought)
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
  • 3/4 cup flaked coconut (I used sweetened)
  • 1/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Combine butter and one cup of chocolate chips in a glass bowl. Melt in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds till smooth. Set aside.
  2. Whisk together the sugars, flour, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Slowly beat in the melted chocolate mixture at low speed. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
  3. Fold in the vanilla, pecans, coconut, and 1/4 cup chocolate chips.
  4. Pour mixture into the unbaked pie crust. Bake at 350° for about 35-40 minutes, or till set. Be careful not to over-bake.
  5. Serve warm with ice cream, or at room temperature.
