Fall Decorating– DIY Pedestal Centerpiece

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, so I am madly trying to finish up a few of the fall decorating projects I’ve got lying around. This one was really quick and easy. Perfect!
I found this pedestal bowl at the thrift store months ago.
It was $1.50. I had kinda forgotten about it, but I rediscovered it last week while digging through my “treasure” bins. Doncha just love it when you find cool stuff that you didn’t even remember that you had. Just makes my day. 🙂
I gave it a good scrubbing, wiped it dry, then added a few coats of Antique White spray paint. I thought it was looking a little too pristine, so I rubbed it with some walnut stain. Perfect! I threw in some spanish moss (from the dollar store of course), then added a few pumpkins and pinecones:

I think I’m going to use it as a centerpiece on our kitchen table. What I love about it is that I can fill it with different items depending on the season. I’m already thinking about what I can put in it for Christmas. I know, I’m crazy. 🙂
